ANNA PROCHNIAK is one of the most promising young Polish actresses. She became interested in ballet and contemporary dance at an early age and trained as a dancer until deciding to switch to theatre. She graduated from the acting department of Film School in Lodz. She got several Polish and international awards for her theatre debut for role in “Natasha’s Dream” in Teatr Powszechny in Warsaw.
In 2012 Anna starred in BEZ WSTYDU/SHAMELESS, directed by Filip Marczewski. In 2014 she starred in the Polish Blockbuster MIASTO 44/WARSAW 44, directed by a young director Jan Komasa. In 2016 she played in LES INNOCENTS /THE INNOCENTS, directed by Anne Fontaine, alongside JOANNA KULIG, another great talent from Poland, represented by das IMPERIUM, the film was at the Sundance Film Festival 2016. In 2017 Anna had her “Irish acting debut” in BAD DAY FOR THE CUT, directed by Chris Baugh, which was selected and had it’s world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2017.
